Yes. We ship practically anywhere. However, you are responsible for any applicable duty and taxes charged by the receiving country.
On our site, we sell our beads and findings in specific quantities depending on the product. Many items have different package sizes with corresponding price differences. The more you buy the better the price.
On the site, we sell in the quantities listed per item. In our store, most of our beads are available individually. If you are able, come by for the best selection.
Yes. Many of our products have a better price if you buy a larger size pack. There are also some products that you can receive a quantity discount that are not shown in the pricing on the site. These specific products are: chain sold by the foot, semi-precious stone strands, fresh water pearl strands, and precious metal wire sold by the foot. We will have to manually adjust the pricing on your invoice. You will be notified of the pricing alteration and subsequent total of your invoice prior to
any charges going through on your credit card.
Generally the measurement of a bead is the width x the length. The width being the widest part of the bead that is across the string and the length being the distance the bead is along the string. We understand the importance of including the sizes of the beads and are working on getting accurate sizing for all of the items up onto the site. However, there are many variations with beads so there will be some inconsistencies. Please contact us if specific sizing is essential to your design.
How many beads are on a strand?
Our strand lengths vary from 5" to 18". We have listed the strand length and an estimated count on the number of beads on the strand. However, there may be a variation on the lengths and certainly on the number of beads on a strand. This is especially true on the hand cut stones.

Yes! When you submit an order we will automatically ensure that your order is entered under your name and that you receive your points for it. You will receive points for your entire order, minus any wholesale or discounted items, just like you would if you we shopping in the store, in person.
We accept Visa and MasterCard.
We also accept money orders and certified cheques but not personal, company or COD cheques.
The taxes are dependent on where the order is shipped. Country Beads is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada so orders shipped within BC have a harmonized tax (HST) of 12% charged. Outside of BC, the tax of that province will be charged. Any orders shipped to the US or Internationally will not be charged any of the Canadian taxes. The purchaser will be responsible for any applicable duties and/or taxes that their country is charging.
Some of our semi-precious stone strands are priced by the gram due to the fact that they vary in size. Generally speaking, these strands are hand-cut stones. Each strand will have it's own price depending on how much it weighs. On our site, we've listed the price per gram, and the approximate price range of the strands. If you are interested, please contact us by phone or email so we can figure out what size or price point you're interested in. Otherwise, we will phone you to discuss your strand options.
Shipping costs are dependent on the size, weight and destination of the package along with the service required.
When shipping packages within Canada, we opt to use Canada Post. Often we can fit most goods into Canada Post's Xpresspost envelope. They are a flat-rate price regardless of the weight, include $100.00 insurance automatically, are track-able online, and are delivered within 2-3 business days.
Small (6.25" x10.25") $9.00 (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)
$12.00 (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces, Northern Territories)
Large (9.5" x12.5") $10.00 (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba)
$13.00 (Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces, Northern Territories)
If the merchandise needs to be in a larger box or you need a quicker service, we will notify you on the shipping costs.
For shipping to the US and other countries, we prefer to use Canada Post International when possible. We will calculate the shipping cost when we know the package particulars. If you have specific shipping needs, we will try our best to accommodate them.
Canada Post Xpresspost envelopes automatically include insurance coverage for up to $100.00 Canadian.
At your request, we can purchase extra insurance at a nominal cost.
The rates as of January 2010 are as follows:
$1.05 per $100, up to $5,000.00 within Canada
$1.20 per $100, up to $1,000.00 within the US
$1.20 per $100, up to $1,000.00 for international shipments
Online and phone orders are the only purchases that qualify for returns.
~ All cut chains, cut string/cord, books/magazines and tools are a final sale.
~ We will accept a return within 2 weeks of the shipping date. You will need an authorization number so
please call or email to receive one.
~ Any returns after 2 weeks and up to 30 days will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee.
~ No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
~ All merchandise must be in the original state it was sold in (No broken strands will be accepted)
~ We reserve the right to change the quantity discount if the return drops you out of a quantity discount
bracket.
~ The customer needs to pay the return freight.
~ Any purchases made within our store qualify for exchange only, with a receipt and within 2 weeks of purchase date.
We may change any of our policies, prices or information at any time.
